One UI 6.1 is said to be throttling fast charging speed on Samsung phones. Users complain that the major update is limiting the charging speed to around 15W, even if you are using the original 25W fast charging adapter.
Similar reports arose from users of the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5. Meanwhile, there’s no such report surfaced from the users of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets.
Despite using the 25W charging brick, a Galaxy Z Fold 5 user noticed a huge drop, with the phone charging at a 40% slower speed of 15W. As users eagerly waited for One UI 6.1, it scored huge installations as soon as delivered.

While many users cite it as a One UI 6.1 fault, SamMobile (via PhoneArena) reported that Galaxy devices probably charging slower than the adapter’s speed due to batteries powering the models already at a high percentage.
