The OPPO A79 mobile phone has been released in the Indian market. The phone is positioned as a mid-range phone.
OPPO A79 is equipped with Dimensity 6020 chip and runs ColorOS 13.1 system based on Android 13. The phone has 8GB LPDDR4X memory and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage space, and the storage capacity can also be expanded through microSD card, up to 1TB.
OPPO A79 uses a 6.72-inch 90Hz FHD+ LCD screen with a Panda Glass protective layer. The pixel density is 391 ppi and the peak brightness is 680 nits. OPPO calls it a “sunshine screen”.
OPPO A79 is equipped with three cameras – a 50-megapixel main camera (Samsung ISOCELL JN1 50MP), a 2-megapixel depth camera (Omnivision OV02B1B), and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The machine has a built-in 5000mAh battery and supports 33W wired fast charging.
In other aspects, OPPO A79 uses a side fingerprint reader, supports 5G network connection, IP54 waterproof and dustproof rating, USB-C interface and 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also comes with dual stereo speakers and has an Ultra Volume mode that provides “over 100% volume levels, up to 300% for the speaker and 200% for calls on the earpiece.”
OPPO A79 is available in two colors: mysterious black and colorful green. The latter adopts what OPPO calls a “colorful feather design”. The price of the machine in India is 19,999 rupees (~$240, ~ 240,000 Naira).
