Africa Tech Startup Forum invites applications from startups for market access and acceleration programme

Applications are now open for the Africa Tech Startup Forum, an acceleration programme aimed at equipping tech startups with the essential skills, exposure, and opportunities needed for growth.

The programme is funded by the Korea Africa Economic Cooperation (KOAFEC) Trust Fund via the African Development Bank’s (AfDB) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab. Its primary focus is to foster innovation, collaboration, and growth within Africa’s vibrant tech ecosystem.

The Africa Tech Startup Forum comprises both virtual and in-person elements and includes an incubation programme for early-stage tech startups. This programme provides access to specialized resources, mentorship, and collaborative workspaces, helping entrepreneurs to flourish.

Within the forum, a B2B matchmaking platform has been established to create strategic connections between startups and existing businesses. Additionally, the forum plays a crucial role in investor sourcing, linking promising startups with potential investors interested in supporting innovative ventures.

Key industries targeted by the programme include agri-tech, fintech, and e-health sectors. Tech startups from Kenya, Morocco, Rwanda, Egypt, Uganda, Nigeria, South Africa, and Ghana are encouraged to apply here before the April 19 deadline.
