Samsung Galaxy S24 family offers faster 5G speeds over Apple’s iPhone 15 in most countries, Ookla reveals. Recently, Ookla published a 5G performance report, revealing speed test scores of various countries.
Ookla revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra showed a statistically significant lead for median 5G download speeds over the iPhone 15 in seven out of 15 countries in this study.
Notably, the study took place from February 1 to March 24 across Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, Europe, and North America and specifically compared the Galaxy S24 series (and earlier devices) to the iPhone 15 models.
In the US, Samsung’s Galaxy S24 phones had a median speed of 34 Mbps faster than the iPhone 15 lineup. The devices experienced the fastest median 5G upload speed in 13 of the 15 countries examined for this analysis.
Study Highlights:
- The iPhone 15 family came in fourth place in Hong Kong with the S24 devices having a median speed of more than 20 Mbps faster.
- In the UAE, the Galaxy S24 series beat the iPhone 1 by a mere 9 Mbps.
- In the UK, Samsung’s S24 smartphones saw a median of 18 Mbps.
