Samsung produced 64.5 million Galaxy devices in Q1 2024, breaking its target. The company had aimed to manufacture 53 million units in the first quarter, which has been smashed by a whopping 22% higher production.
TheElec reports that Samsung produced 22% more Galaxy phones and tablets than its target for Q1 2024. The company aimed to manufacture 53 million units, excluding those manufactured by its contract suppliers.
The South Korean tech giant has made 64.5 million units alone during the quarter. Thanks to robust marketing, Galaxy AI pushed the S24 series to sell well, while mid-rangers further helped the vendor gain growth momentum.
The industry now expects that Samsung may increase production to secure enough inventory of current models. This is due to the arrival of new foldable phones in July this year, then the production will shift to new releases.
This year, the company aims to sell 253 million units of Galaxy smartphones. In particular, flagship models including the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z are aimed to reach 51 million units sold by the year end.
