WhatsApp is testing a new feature that suggests users some contacts from their address book to chat with. You must be aware of one of the Instagram features, which suggests accounts to follow, and this upcoming feature of WhatsApp might also work similar way.
The only difference here is that Instagram suggests accounts that you have not followed yet, but it usually remains connected with your mutual friends. While the under-testing feature of WhatsApp only suggests contacts that are in your address book.
As per the details, WhatsApp will add a new section to the chat index, and that option will list suggested new contacts from the address book to start a chat with and optimize their experience. Notably, the option will be added to the bottom of the chats list, providing users with easy access.
Furthermore, the contacts that WhatsApp will suggest might include contacts with whom users have never interacted before. These suggestions will also be presented to new users upon their initial registration, enhancing the process of establishing connections for the first time.

This addition will enhance the communication process and user convenience. It also encourages users to initiate conversations more frequently, increasing engagement with new contacts. However, users will also be able to dismiss this section in case they don’t prefer receiving suggestions.
However, this feature to suggest contacts is currently in development and will be available for users in the future. Are you excited for this new addition, or are happy with the limited contacts to chat with? Let us know your thoughts through our social media platforms.
