According to an internal memo obtained by MacRumors, all first-generation Apple Watches released by Apple in 2015 were included in the “obsolete products” list on September 30.
As a result, these “Series 0” watches are currently unavailable for repair or other service at Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers.
These outdated models include the Apple Watch Edition and Hermès versions that sell for up to $17,000 in the United States.
This gold customized version of the watch has an 18K gold case. It was discontinued in 2016 and was later replaced by the ceramic version of the Apple Watch Edition. The latter is more affordable, with a maximum price of only $1,299.
Apart from this, all other 38mm and 42mm aluminum/stainless steel versions of the original Apple Watch have been classified as obsolete.
