Xiaomi Mi Box S/4K Receives 4th Android 9 Pie Beta Update With Peel Mi Remote Support
Xiaomi’s popular Mi Box S/4K is getting its fourth Android 9 Pie OTA update, again. Just last month, Xiaomi rolled out a similar Android 9 beta update with build OTA4 Beta 0 3015. After almost a month’s wait, here is the same OTA 4 Beta 0 update with a different build 3091. The Mi Box S has received 3 consecutive beta programs to date, before finally rolling out a stable Android 9 Pie build a couple of months ago. Here, download Xiaomi Mi Box S/4K’s latest OTA4 Beta 0 update with build 3091.
The current 3091 build brings support for Peel Mi remote, which is a universal remote for Xiaomi TV and Android Box. Peel Mi Remote is an extension for the stock Xiaomi Mi Remote that helps you control all of your Xiaomi devices right from your smartphone. It makes the Mi Remote app truly universal for TV and set-top box. However, you still need an infrared IR blaster on your Xiaomi smartphone in order to use the app.
The previous update with build OTA4 Beta 0 3015 featured a couple of bug fixes related to HDMI like the autorefresh issue. It also added a new screensaver and brought support for Bluetooth Gamepads. We expect all these changes in the latest 3091 build.
