Naija Tech News on October 24th, Google’s annual Android Development Summit event has been held for 7 years, and Android Dev Summit 2022 will be held on Monday, October 24th, US time (Tuesday, October 25th, Beijing time). Get a chance to learn directly from Google’s Android team how to build the best apps for the platform.
Naija Tech News has learned that the event itself includes live online keynotes covering Modern Android Development (MAD), Form Factors and platforms. Each of these topics will be accessible online for the remainder of 2022, with events taking place in multiple locations.
MAD was the first theme to kick off the summit on October 24 and covered a range of topics surrounding the development of Android 13, the latest version of Android. These topics include custom views, baseline profiles, best practices for navigation, and more.
The next topic, Form Factors, will be covered when the Android Dev Summit moves to its next location – London. On November 9, this will delve into Wear OS and other Form Factors that leverage the core Android engine, and thanks to the recently announced Pixel Watch, it’s no surprise that Google is focusing on this area with this session.
Finally, the last topic announced will be about platforms, which will focus on migrating apps to Android 13 and building for multilingual users. This will take place on November 14th. Finally, there will be more events in Asia during December, but these have yet to officially announce a schedule or topics to cover.
