Two phases of investment:
First phase: Samsung will likely establish a new chip manufacturing plant in Taylor, Texas. This facility will use the latest GAA technology and will be capable of producing 3nm chips. The plant could commence operating in 2025.
Second phase: Samsung will build an advanced packaging plant in the US. The plant will package chips produced at the Taylor plant and other Samsung facilities. The report says this plant could start operating in 2026.
